James has already found new homes for a number of paintings. Oxford International Art Fair in February, now in it's 3rd year, was even busier than last year. I love this Fair & it's central location in Oxford's glorious Town Hall. My next Art Fair is 'Reading Contemporary Art Fair' April 22 - 24, and next is 'Reading Contemporary Art Fair' April 22 - 24, and June is looking very busy with Patchings, Chelsea Art Society's Annual Exhibition and SoFAP Spring Exhibition all in the second week! I'll be demonstrating for the first time at Childwickbury Arts Fair, July 1-3, and am really looking forward to this extremely popular fair. Throughout the summer I'll also have pieces in the Not the Royal Academy Exhibition, at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, Waterloo. Details of all forthcoming exhibitions & art fairs can be found on the exhibitions page of this website. I'm off to Venice in September with a couple of painting buddies to paint en plein air. Plein air painting is a new experience for me, and although I draw from life weekly & paint still life studies, being out & in front of my subject in constantly changing light conditions is going to take some time to adjust to. I've been down to Cornwall recently, practicing quick oil sketches of rock pools along the coast on 8” x 10” boards. It was pretty raw sitting on the rocks & occasionally in the sea spray, I found I couldn't open my tubes of paint after an hour or so, my fingers were so cold! Hopefully Venice in September will mean we're painting in late summer sun....
